It went into recovery mode and wouldn’t charge the battery and wouldn’t accept a battery type change. I haven’t tried it for other types of batteries since I have other chargers that work well for non-Lithium batteries.

Works like a charm, also has a recovery mode that will repair a damaged battery. Saved me $150 on buying a new battery. Happy customer.

I bought this charger at the same time I purchased a lithium iron phosphate battery for my Bat Caddy walk-behind cart. It is very easy to use with red(Positive) and black(negative) leads. I immediately charged my lithium iron phosphate battery and the charger performed flawlessly. I like the feature that displays when the battery is fully charged. The charger also can be used on a lead acid and lithium battery and it can, so it claims, restore a lead-acid battery. I have not tried this yet. The price is right, about 25 dollars, and to this point, 2 months, I am very satisfied. It has a small footprint, has a cooling fan, and is not too noisy. Hey, for 25 bucks this is a bargain.

I purchased a LiFePo battery awhile ago and this charger was recommended by a fellow ham operator.
Not having a LiFePo battery charger I was pleasantly surprised to know that it charges other type batteries as well. It was recommended to me and so I recommend it to anyone needing a well made battery charger.
You won’t be disappointed!

This charger works well. I have it four stars (not 5) because the directions for reading the display seems, to me, to be unclear. When I called Amazon for help about reading the display, the customer representative was very nice and professional but was unhelpful because he knew very little and out product.

The description says it will charge 12 volt batteries at 6 amps. It also gives a list of batteries that it can be used for.
I needed it for Lithium LifePo4 batteries. This thing will only charge those at a max of 1.5amp, that just don’t cut it.
Misleading. I don’t recommend it for LARGER SIZED Lithium LifePo4 batteries.
Update: Tried it again. The “Mode” selection failed and can no longer be used to select the type of battery.
Update: The “mode” selection for selecting battery type started working again. It just needed several minutes of being totally disconnected before plugging it in and selecting the required mode.

My car battery was dying out every other day. We had to jumpstart it almost everyday. Hence we thought of buying this charger. We had to initially charge it for 15 hours and then use it. Its been 15 days since we charged and activated our battery, our car is running fine till date.

I’ve charged my first LiPO4 12v 100ah battery with it. I charged overnight – the reading was 1.5a at the start, but the manual says it increases later. Anyway, it was fully charged by morning. Not sure what I started with – it was a new battery, and charger doesn’t tell what capacity is remaining or even the voltage while charging. At indicated full charge, it’s at 13.5v, which seems right where it’s supposed to be.
My biggest issue was choosing the battery type. You get a very short time after plugging in to choose your battery type – I almost gave up on it when I repeatedly could not get it to change.
But it’s working now. I have a bunch of batteries to charge, so I’ll have plenty of opportunity to see how it works over the long run.

Bought the Four smart charger when I purchased the Miady LIFEPO4 Battery (13.8v 36Ah) the charger is small and gives continuous readouts of charging ampa, voltage, and temperature. When you attach it to the battery pror to plugging in the charger it will display the battery condition. Quiet fan. The beer can is there for scale

This is a nice little charger but I found a big drawback for my Lifepo4 application. It is spec’ed as 6A/12V, 3A/24V. I have a project that required charging 6 Lifepo4 16AH batteries when they have various depletion status. I quickly found out this charger will only charge Lifepo4 at 1.5A, which I would consider as trickle charge. It gets the job done, I’ve had it charge a battery from near empty to 100%, but it took over 15 hours. (The reason for that is due to several stages of charging. Constant current for bulk charge and tapered mode near completion that is much slower than constant current mode. This is normal, just like charging an EV. The first 60% charge rate is much faster than the last 40%)
It should be able to charge at 6A/12V on a SLA battery, I did not confirm this since I have a heavier duty charger for my car batteries. I also found mine indicated 0.2V battery voltage higher than actual, as checked by several pro quality VOMs. The price is good, so I am keeping it.
Someone said it is not UL listed (implying it is not safety certified). It is CE certified, the European Union safety agency with similar standards to UL but more common for China manufacturers.
